The group meets every Monday morning at the LAYCA centre in Shirley. The morning is designed to enable the children to enjoy themselves in a safe and stimulating environment and a healthy snack is provided.

Funding comes from subscriptions to the National Childminding Association, weekly fees and organised events.

Topics of discussion include vacancies, Ofsted inspections, contracts with parents, activities for children, training and child development.

Experienced members can offer advice to newer members of the profession. We organise trips to various fun and educational venues and also have visitors to the drop-in e.g. library, fire service etc.
